Thanks to EU’s assistance, millions of Serbian citizens have better and more modern medical care in other towns, too.
European Union (EU) donations to health care in Serbia amount to more than 200 million euros, and the European Investment Bank (EIB) has provided another 250 million euros in preferential loans, from 2000 until today.
The EU has equipped hospitals, laboratories, public health institutes and blood transfusion institutes and provided 284 fully equipped ambulances to health centers across Serbia.
The support of the European Union to Serbia in the fight against the corona virus means millions of euros sent to the health system, since March 2020, and help is still constantly arriving.
