In March 2020, the European Commission offered Serbia a 93 million EUR package to fight COVID-19, while additional 290 million EUR were offered to the Western Balkans as a whole. The 93 million EUR were divided into funds for immediate assistance (15 million) for procurement of additional emergency medical equipment, materials, and transport, while the remaining funds (78 million) are intended as short and medium-term economic support.

Since the pandemic outbreak, the European Union has donated more than 77 million EUR to help Serbia in its fight against Covid-19 and its consequences.
